You will need to have an updated LinkedIn profile and resume. These items are required for the DFAS Mentorship Program Mentee Survey. Failure to include these items in your survey will result in your application not being considered for the current enrollment period.

How are mentees and mentors matched?
We match mentees with mentors based on the following criteria mentees meet and establish:
When will I be notified if I have been matched?
Upon being matched, you will receive a Your Mentor in a Snapshot attachment.
This will include a link to your mentor’s LinkedIn profile (if they have one), a brief biography of your mentor, and a list of their hobbies.
Your mentor will be notified of the match, as well. You are expected to initiate contact with your mentor.
Participation in our program is a fairly flexible commitment. We simply require that:
- You are either currently a DFAS member, or you have paid the $20 application fee.
- You are currently a UC Davis student.
- You participate in the program for the entirety of the academic year.
- You maintain contact with your mentor for 2-3 hours a month (by email, phone, video chat, or in-person).
- Follow the DFAS Mentee Code of Ethics (included in the DFAS Mentorship Mentee Survey).
What is the DFAS Mentee Code of Ethics?
Our code of ethics state that you must:
- Be professional
- Be proactive
- Be prepared
- Be respectful of your mentor and their time
- Connect with your mentor regularly
- Be open and receptive to constrictive criticism
- Be open to challenging yourself and stepping out of your comfort zone
- Be an active listener
- Be okay with asking questions and asking for help
- Take responsibility for your academic, professional and career development

- Navigating the corporate, professional, and academic landscape

How are mentees and mentors matched?
We match mentees with mentors based on the following criteria mentees meet and establish:
- Major(s)
- Current year and class standing
- GPA (major and cumulative)
- Field(s) of interest
- Certification(s) of interest
- Regions you would be willing to work in after graduation
- Education that you are interested in obtaining
