Officer Duties
The following text contains details on what DFAS officers are responsible for. These descriptions are intended to help visitors contact best-fit officers for their needs and provide information to perspective board members interested in applying for vacant positions.
Note: Officer "I" positions are usually UC Davis upperclassmen while Officer II positions are typically UC Davis lowerclassmen.

President
- Explores growth opportunities
- Initiates new projects
- Looks for opportunities to better organization
- Proposes new officer positions
- Determines club strategy
- Looks for ways to better team dynamic and charisma
- Looks to improve the abilities of DFAS team and members
- Determines events/ overall schedule for DFAS
- Acts as DFAS delegate
- Reaches out to collaborate with other related UCD to collaborate
- Supports all officers as necessary
Vice President
- Assists President on all President duties including but not limited to: strategy, creating officer positions, and DFAS delegation.
- Organize CFA study groups
- Help establish relationship with finance firm companies
- Act as interim President if President is unavailable
- Assist all officers as necessary
Treasurer
- Complete/summarize budget reports for club purchases, event expenses, special guests, etc.
- Book keeping and journal entries
- Provide donation papers to companies, individuals etc
- Look for ways to improve/automate cash handling activities
- Reserve rooms for special events
- Handles membership and non-member cash activities
- Assist all officers if asked
Events & Public Relations Officer
- Communicate between DFAS and 3rd party groups including but not limited to: companies, potential sponsors, UC Davis departments, and special guests.
- Schedules special events and guests on or off campus.
- Settles disputes with member concerns, asks VP for advice as necessary
- Assist all officers as necessary
- Reserve rooms for DFAS general meetings
- Communicate as necessary for special and coordinate event
- Communicate with CSI for refreshments (sponsored by Pepsi)
- Read and provide CSI weekly bulletins briefs during officer meetings
- Organize Fundraiser
- Organize special events with GSM (Graduate School of Management)
- Organize DFAS Calendar
- Assist all officers as necessary
Social Media Director
- Propose networking or social events
- Manage Facebook Page
- Manage LinkedIn Group
- DFAS officer and member photography
- Event Photograph
- Marketing Strategy
- Managing DFAS website
- Graphic Design (Marketing materials)
- Assist all officers as necessary
